Great book

Reading a new book by Judith Butler (author of "Gender Trouble: The Subversion of Identity") called "Precarious Life: The Powers of Mourning and Violence."  Excellent look at how an alternative, non-violent reaction to post-9/11 politics might be.  Butler has a really good handle on how to view 9/11 as a vile occurrence without excusing the suppression of dissent and criticism.
